Audeze ships the Maxwell 2 ANC gaming headset
At $429, the Maxwell 2 ANC is the first headset in Audeze's entire range to carry active noise cancellation, on the same 90 mm planar drivers as the standard model.
Audeze has released the Maxwell 2 ANC, a noise-cancelling version of the follow-up to the original Maxwell, the headset that became the company's best-selling product. The Maxwell 2 was announced in January 2026; the ANC model is the second configuration of that platform to reach buyers.
The closed-back headset keeps Audeze's 90 mm planar drivers, Fluxor magnet arrays, Fazor waveguides and SLAM acoustic technology, with adaptive cancellation added on top, from $429 for PlayStation and Xbox.
Active noise cancellation on a planar-magnetic headset is an unusual combination and the part worth reserving judgement on. Cancellation filters interact with the driver's own response, and how much of the Maxwell 2's tuning survives with ANC engaged shows up only in a measurement taken with it both on and off.
