DESIGN & BUILD QUALITY

The Lowmaster is a true blend of cutting-edge technology and modern elegance. Featuring a sleek 3D-printed earbud shell combined with a carbon fiber cover, this design captivates both visually and ergonomically. The newly crafted earbud shells are meticulously shaped to fit perfectly in the ear, allowing for hours of comfortable listening without fatigue. The thoughtful design strikes a balance between durability and ease of wear, making the Lowmaster an excellent choice for both casual music lovers and discerning audiophiles alike.

The Lowmaster’s nozzle is quite short and narrow, which can make getting a secure fit a bit tricky. While the build quality and design are impressive, you might need to try out a few different ear tips to find the perfect fit.

As for accessories, the Lowmaster comes with the same set as the Dynabird—ear tips and a carry case. It also includes the same cable as the OD100, but in white. While the accessories are decent, we were hoping for a more exciting unboxing experience, especially after the OD200, which impressed us with its premium cable and carry case.

Like the Dynabird and OD100, the Lowmaster’s carry case is a small zippered pouch with a soft inner lining—just big enough to store the IEMs. It may not be the most protective, but it's sturdy enough for safe storage.

COMFORT

Comfort is a standout feature of the Lowmaster IEMs. I was pleased to find that a medium-depth insertion provided the perfect balance of security and acoustic isolation. Similar to the previous ORIVETI OD200, the Lowmaster offers exceptional comfort, but without the extra weight of metal, making it even more enjoyable for extended listening sessions.

SOUND

The Lowmaster offers a well-balanced sound profile. The bass is warm and detailed, with a focus on sub-bass, though it lacks some punch and impact. The midrange is a standout, providing neutral yet engaging vocals with natural warmth and clarity. The treble is crisp and well-tuned, delivering good detail and airiness without being harsh, though there are occasional peaks in the lower treble. The soundstage is decent, with good instrument separation and solid imaging, creating a natural sense of space. Overall, it's a refined and enjoyable listening experience.

BASS

The bass performance on the Lowmaster strikes a solid balance between sub-bass and mid-bass, offering depth and clarity. While the quality is commendable, with a nice level of resolution, the quantity doesn’t quite live up to the expectations set by the name "Lowmaster." We were hoping for more punch and impact from the bass, which feels somewhat understated.

That said, the bass carries a pleasant warmth and thickness that enhances the overall listening experience without being overbearing. It leans more toward sub-bass, providing a decent extension, though it lacks the satisfying rumble you'd hope for. The mid-bass has a good body but also feels a bit light, missing that extra weight and slam that could really elevate it.

In short, the bass quality is decent, with well-defined texture and layering. However, given the name "Lowmaster," we expected a more powerful and impactful bass presence.

MID

The midrange of the Lowmaster truly shines, showcasing the distinct qualities of a balanced armature driver. It delivers a neutral yet captivating sound profile, and the tuning in this range is something we particularly enjoy. Vocals take center stage with a forward, clear presence, while instruments are naturally placed around them, creating an immersive soundscape.

There’s a pleasant warmth that gives the vocals a natural and engaging presentation, bringing them to life without overwhelming other elements. The midrange offers plenty of energy, with just the right amount of warmth to keep the sound lively and enjoyable. This neutrality extends into the upper mids, maintaining a balanced yet vibrant listening experience.

HIGH

The treble on the Lowmaster is well-tuned and adds a lively, engaging element to the overall sound. It offers a satisfying amount of presence, detail, and clarity, with enough energy and extension to keep things crisp without sounding harsh. The treble details remain clear and well-defined, without being overly masked, allowing the high frequencies to shine through.

There’s also a nice touch of airiness, giving cymbals and hi-hats a noticeable presence and capturing their sizzle with precision. However, there are some peaks in the lower treble region that introduce a bit of sharpness, though it doesn’t detract too much from the experience. Overall, the treble performance is fatigue-free, delivering a solid cohesive performance and enjoyable high-end.

SOUNDSTAGE & IMAGING

The soundstage on the Lowmaster is quite respectable, creating a sense of space that wraps around the listener comfortably. While it may not be the most expansive in terms of width and depth, it offers a balanced and enjoyable stage. Instruments are given enough room to breathe, and the overall sense of space feels natural.

Where the Lowmaster truly shines is in its layering and instrument separation, both of which are impressive. The imaging is also solid, allowing for a clear and accurate placement of sounds within the soundstage.

COMPARISON

ORIVETI LOWMASTER VS ORIVETI OD200

The Oriveti OD200 is a standout IEM, offering an excellent combination of design, comfort, and sound quality. Its CNC-milled metal shell and ergonomic design provide both durability and a sleek, stylish look. The ergonomic fit minimizes pressure points, ensuring a secure seal for hours of comfortable listening.

Oriveti Lowmaster vs Oriveti OD200

In terms of sound, the OD200 impresses with its versatility, delivering a balanced and immersive experience. With the silver nozzle, the bass is tight and controlled, while the Lowmaster offers more warmth and bleed into the lower mids. The mids on the OD200 are smooth and natural, while the Lowmaster’s mids are thicker and fuller, though a bit more relaxed and less forward in presence. Despite this, the Lowmaster doesn't lack dynamics.

When it comes to treble, the OD200 offers a crisp and refined presentation, though the Lowmaster delivers more detail and layering in the highs. The soundstage on both is average, but the Lowmaster excels in imaging and positioning, creating a more realistic and coherent listening experience.

So, which one should you go for? Both IEMs have a lot to offer, but the Lowmaster takes things up a notch with its fun, punchy, and more engaging sound signature. If you're after a lively, immersive audio experience, the Lowmaster really delivers, especially when it comes to comfort and soundstage accuracy. However, the OD200 steps in with superior build quality, a premium cable, and a sleek carry case—though it comes with a $50 higher price tag. Ultimately, it’s a choice between dynamic sound and comfort with the Lowmaster, or a more robust build and better accessories with the OD200.

CONCLUSION

The Lowmaster offers an impressive blend of sophisticated design and sound performance. With its sleek 3D-printed shell and ergonomic fit, it balances durability and comfort, making it ideal for both casual listeners and audiophiles. While its accessories are modest, the Lowmaster’s sound profile shines—providing warm, detailed bass, a natural and engaging midrange, and crisp, fatigue-free treble. Its soundstage and imaging deliver a balanced sense of space, although bass enthusiasts may desire a bit more impact.

Overall, the Lowmaster delivers a refined and immersive audio experience. We recommend this product!
