beyerdynamic launches the DT 275 PRO for location and broadcast work
A compact closed-back aimed at professionals working outside a studio, sold on high passive isolation, a neutral tuning and all-day comfort rather than on a new driver.

beyerdynamic has launched the DT 275 PRO, a closed-back headphone for audio professionals working on location. The pitch is high passive noise isolation, a neutral response and comfort over long shifts, in a compact design meant to travel.
Isolation is one of the few headphone claims that is straightforward to measure, and it is the one that matters most on location, where the room is whatever the job hands you. It is also never free: the seal that buys attenuation is the same seal whose fit determines the bass response, which is why a professional closed-back has to be judged on how little it changes between one head and the next.
