Ferrum OOR
Universal Summary
The OOR is Ferrum's fully balanced, fully analog flagship headphone amp: 8W into 60 ohms, discrete circuitry, and a design philosophy built around its optional HYPSOS hybrid power supply. Headfonics scored it 9.3/10, calling it a very good solid-state amp and preamp alone that becomes a great amplifier with HYPSOS; Headfonia's verdict matches, hearing the power-supply difference as easily audible. Consensus character: powerful, dynamic, and musical solid-state with more soul than measurement-first rivals. The costs are structural: $1,995 for the amp, another $1,195 for the HYPSOS that unlocks its best, and no DAC or features beyond pure amplification.
